Grades 9-12
Where Artistry Meets Global Perspective
Through exceptional musical training and transformative experiences, your singer develops as both a musician and a global citizen prepared to lead.
Where Excellence and Experience Converge
Our high school program combines exceptional musical training with transformative experiences that shape both musicians and leaders.
Through collaborations with the Oregon Symphony and Pink Martini, international tours, and a diverse repertoire spanning multiple cultures and traditions, singers develop both as artists and global citizens.
Each ensemble provides unique opportunities for artistic growth, cultural exploration, and lasting friendships that extend far beyond the rehearsal room.

The Singing Doesn’t Have to Stop at Graduation
PYC’s developmental work doesn’t end when a singer finishes high school. Chamber Choir extends the journey up to age 24 — a peer-based artistic home where advanced high school singers, college-age singers, and young adults make demanding music side by side. Sophomores and up are eligible to audition.

Tshotsholoza (Go Forward)
As shared by arranger Jeffrey L. Ames, "This song of freedom was sung by the ancient miners who toiled in the South African diamond and gold mines, and by those celebrating Nelson Mandela's release from prison."
Begin Your Musical Journey
Our audition process looks for both musical potential and eagerness to explore diverse musical traditions. We welcome singers ready to challenge themselves and grow.
