Will Fox
Associate Conductor
Will Fox is in his fifteenth year of teaching and directing music at Westside Christian High School, a small 3A high school in Tigard, where he directs all music at the school, including four choirs (Concert Choir, Westside Voices, Bella Voce, and Soli Deo Gloria), Concert Band, Ignite Worship Team, and Drumline. He has also served as Vocal/Music Director for several musicals and runs a Barbershop Tag Singing club.
With the exception of 2024, when his very young choir finished second, the Concert Choir had won the 3A Oregon state choir championship fifteen consecutive years! His auditioned ensemble, Soli Deo Gloria, just captured the 2024 Oregon MEA State Championship, was third at OMEA in 2017, and the group has also won nearly every vocal jazz competition it’s entered since 2012. His choirs have been honored to perform at OMEA All-State Conferences in 2017, 2020, and 2022 and, most recently, at the 2024 Northwest ACDA Regional Conference in Spokane, WA. Mr. Fox started the Concert Band program at Westside in 2016, and his bands have already captured four Oregon 3A band state championships!
Will loves the genre of barbershop music. He directs the Oregon SenateAires barbershop chorus in Salem, and he finds real joy in teaching and sharing this unique art form to young people. He has performed and competed at a high level in a couple of quartets with his students.
He owns a private music studio, Music at Will, teaching voice and piano, and he has served as an Oregon ACDA Repertoire and Resources board member and is a certified choral adjudicator in Oregon. He has been married to Lynn for nearly 38 years, and they have two adult children, Macy and Bryce, a daughter-in-law, Molly, and a puppy named Finn.
